Willems® didactic dissertation

In this section, you will find Didactic Dissertations written for the Willems® Didactic Diploma.
You can find my 2005 dissertation at “Le rythme musical”, introduction and summary of the book by Edgar Willems.

My former colleague Anne Peigné-Boissonnet wrote a fascinating memoir about “La mémoire musicale et instrumentale” also in 2005, and she very kindly agreed to have it published here and made available to students and fans of music pedagogy. I’d like to thank her very much!

Another former colleague, Réjane Vollichard, wrote her dissertation on “Les bases psychologiques de l’éducation musicale“, in 2007. This work is a remarkable synthesis of Willems’ most philosophical work. It is an essential part of the Willems Pedagogical Diploma course.

More recently, Mateja Tomac-Calligaris, from Slovenia, wrote his dissertation on “The development of the musical ear and singing in Willems® music education“. She also honoured me with the opportunity to publish her text on this site, for which I thank her!
