Co-founder and key player in the music school from 1987 to 2023 Ryméa*in Lyon, Christophe Lazerges has acquired a wealth of experience in Willemsian teaching practice with a variety of audiences.

A specialist in early childhood education from the age of 3 at Ryméa, he also works in crèches with babies from the age of 4 months, with primary school children at the City of Paris (where he began his career in 1980), at the Mpntessori school in Lyon, He has spent most of his career at Ryméa, teaching children, teenagers and adults solfeggio, piano and choral singing, as well as children and young adults with severe disabilities.
He worked closely with Jacques Chapuis on the Willems® training courses in Lyon and Paris, and succeeded him as President of AIEM Willems from 2008 to 2012. He contributed to the renewal of the Willems® Movement by developing it into Fédération Internationale Willems® and putting practical teaching back at the heart of teacher training.
Internationally, he has given lectures and courses in Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Slovenia.
From 2009 to 2019, he was particularly active in Colombia, where he contributed to the emergence of a new Willems® training centre.
From 2016 to 2020, he was also frequently involved in training courses in Slovenia.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Willems® Movement for some thirty years, he resigned in July 2023.
Retired from the management of Ryméa, he will continue to work as a teacher and trainer until July 2023 (a total of 36 years), willingly sharing his experience without ceasing to question the fundamental principles of teaching, which he considers to be a living art.
