Je les ai re\u00e7ues concr\u00e8tement de la mer, du vent, de la pluie sur les arbres et de la lumi\u00e8re, ou encore de la contemplation de certains paysages que je recherche parce qu\u2019ils ont l\u2019air d\u2019appartenir plus \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation du monde qu\u2019\u00e0 nos contr\u00e9es civilis\u00e9es.&nbsp;\u00bb<br><br>Maurice Ohana<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mauriceohana.com\/biographie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maurice Ohana<\/a><\/em><\/strong> occupe une place particuli\u00e8re dans la musique contemporaine. Tout d&rsquo;abord par son d\u00e9sir de rupture voire d&rsquo;opposition aux \u00ab\u00a0dictats\u00a0\u00bb des tenants de l&rsquo;\u00e9criture s\u00e9rielle et dod\u00e9caphonique dont Boulez \u00e9tait l&rsquo;ardent d\u00e9fenseur.<br>Inspir\u00e9 par Debussy, ses couleurs et la gamme hexatonale que celui-ci aimait utiliser, Ohana d\u00e9veloppa une \u00e9criture utilisant une gamme proc\u00e9dant par 1\/3 de tons. Les alt\u00e9rations sont marqu\u00e9es par des \u00ab\u00a0slash\u00a0\u00bb : \/ pour 1\/3 de ton, \/\/ pour 2\/3 de ton.<br>D&rsquo;ou son penchant pour les instruments &lsquo;mall\u00e9ables&rsquo; au plan de l&rsquo;accord, comme la voix et les cordes.<br>Par ailleurs, son parcours linguistique et culturel l&rsquo;a probablement marqu\u00e9 : n\u00e9 au Maroc, ayant v\u00e9cu \u00e0 Barcelone, Rome, Paris, et aussi au Pays-Basque.<br>La voix et les percussions sont pour lui \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine de l&rsquo;expression musicale humaine, et il les associe presque toujours, la vocalise d\u00e9passant souvent les mots, et s&rsquo;\u00e9levant dans une spiritualit\u00e9 non religieuse (sauf dans la \u00ab\u00a0Messe\u00a0\u00bb \u00e9videmment), les titres et les textes \u00e9tant le plus souvent ajout\u00e9s apr\u00e8s coup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00c9coutes br\u00e8ves : musique contemporaine du XX\u00b0s. post-moderne<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Voici un petit floril\u00e8ge des \u0153uvres de ce compositeur prolifique. R\u00e9v\u00e9lant un c\u00f4t\u00e9 beaucoup plus lyrique de la personnalit\u00e9 musicale du compositeur, cette \u0153uvre en six mouvements emprunte son titre aux po\u00e8mes mystiques et monodies du XIIIe si\u00e8cle du roi Alphonse X \u00ab le Sage \u00bb, connus sous le nom de Cantigas de Santa Maria. Le quatri\u00e8me des six mouvements, \u00ab Cantiga del azahar \u00bb (Chanson de la fleur d&rsquo;oranger), fusionne le texte de trois po\u00e8mes d&rsquo;Alphonse et int\u00e8gre une monodie qui lui est directement attribu\u00e9e. Les cinq autres mouvements utilisent des textes de quatre po\u00e8tes du Moyen \u00c2ge et de la Renaissance.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Avec l&rsquo;ensemble instrumental jouant un r\u00f4le secondaire, l&rsquo;\u0153uvre explore un style vocal qui doit beaucoup aux r\u00e9pertoires vocaux m\u00e9di\u00e9vaux et Renaissance qu&rsquo;Ohana a \u00e9tudi\u00e9s \u00e0 la Schola Cantorum. Une grande partie de la structure interne du mouvement suit des sch\u00e9mas responsoriaux et antiphoniques, ce qui est particuli\u00e8rement notable dans le cinqui\u00e8me mouvement qui alterne des vocalisations contemplatives et non mesur\u00e9es d&rsquo;une soliste contralto avec un mat\u00e9riau plus extraverti, mesur\u00e9 et homorythmique du ch\u0153ur et de l&rsquo;ensemble. De nombreuses textures contrapuntiques \u00e9voquent le caract\u00e8re de la polyphonie de la Renaissance, bien que l&#8217;emprunt de certaines techniques associ\u00e9es \u00e0 ce r\u00e9pertoire (trope, conductus et cantus firmus) ne soit explor\u00e9 que dans ses \u0153uvres ult\u00e9rieures, notamment Chiffres de clavecin, Silenciaire, Office des oracles et la Messe.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Refl\u00e9tant le caract\u00e8re musical des monodies originales du roi Alphonse sur lesquelles se base Cantigas, Ohana s&rsquo;est inspir\u00e9 des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9lodiques des chants mozarabes, gr\u00e9goriens, s\u00e9farades et muezzins, tous associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la p\u00e9ninsule ib\u00e9rique et qui ont profond\u00e9ment influenc\u00e9 les formes m\u00e9lodiques de la musique folklorique espagnole. Bien que les textures de type organum ne soient pas autant exploit\u00e9es ici que dans sa musique vocale ult\u00e9rieure, le parall\u00e9lisme est une caract\u00e9ristique de nombreuses textures homophoniques. Une distinction est implicite entre les hauteurs not\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re enharmonique dans une tentative de s&rsquo;\u00e9carter des conventions, voire des restrictions du temp\u00e9rament moderne. Bien que les quarts de ton r\u00e9els soient not\u00e9s ici dans certains des solos sans accompagnement, beaucoup d&rsquo;entre eux sont sans mesure afin de sugg\u00e9rer la spontan\u00e9it\u00e9 de l&rsquo;improvisation. Presque enti\u00e8rement sans accompagnement, \u00ab Cantiga del azahar \u00bb est le plus personnel et le plus expressif des six mouvements et repr\u00e9sente le c\u0153ur \u00e9motionnel de l&rsquo;\u0153uvre ; une m\u00e9lodie improvis\u00e9e et sans mesure migre \u00e0 travers les parties vocales, descendant d&rsquo;une soprano enfant soliste, passant par les contraltos jusqu&rsquo;aux basses du ch\u0153ur. La beaut\u00e9 lente et solennelle de la m\u00e9lodie, dont le texte loue la Vierge, cr\u00e9e une atmosph\u00e8re de puret\u00e9 et de contemplation po\u00e9tique. Le fait qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agisse du seul mouvement \u00e0 ne pas porter de d\u00e9dicace sugg\u00e8re peut-\u00eatre une signification particuli\u00e8rement personnelle pour le compositeur.
